Ragda recipes


This is made from dry peas. This can be used in Pani Puri, aloo tikki, bhel puri etc.

·        Dry peas  or whole yellow peas – 1 cup
·        Asafetida powder – ¼ tsp
·        Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
·        Red chili powder – 1 tsp
·        Salt – to taste
·        Water 

1.      Soak these peas in the night.
2.      When it is fully swollen, it is ready to cook.
3.      In the cooker add all the ingredients and let  it cook for 6-7 whistle or till it cook nicely.
4.      Now open the cooker and see and taste, it should be thick, if not let it cook for some time.
5.      Now it is ready for pani puri, alootikki, ragda patties etc
