Low fats: Amaranth curry (Thandu kerai)


  • Amaranth – 3 bunches (Chopped)

  • Salt – 1 tsp

  • Oil – 1 tsp

  • Mustard – 1 tsp

  • Black gram dal – ½ tsp

  • Green chilies – 3



  1. Heat the oil.

  2. Add mustard seeds, black gram and split red chilies and fry.

  3. When the dal turns light brown add chopped amaranth leaves, water and salt. Cook till soft.
