Coating Batter For Fritters

It is a basic batter for fritters.


  • Maida – 1cup

  • Corn flour – 1tbsp

  • Rice flour – 1tbsp

  • Salt - ½ tsp

  • Ground ginger, garlic, chillies – to taste



  1. Mix all the ingredients together.

  2. Add enough water to make a batter which will coat the back of a spoon thinly when dipped.

  3. Dip small pieces of cauliflower, baby corn, etc. which should have first been boiled to be tender but not mushy, but Chill the boiled veggies before frying.
