Crispy Cabbage


  • Cabbage – 2 cups (shredded)

  • Green chilies -2 (slit)

  • Curry leaves – as required

  • Coriander leaves - 1tsp(finely chopped)

  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp

  • Asafetida powder – 2 pinch

  • Garam masala – 1 pinch

  • Salt - to taste

  • Cumin seed – ½ tsp

  • Mustard seed – ½ tsp

  • Urad dal – ¼ tsp

  • Amchoor powder – ¼ tsp

  • Oil – ½ tsp



  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan.

  2. Add cumin, mustard and urad dal. Let it splutter.

  3. Add asafetida, green chilies, curry leaves, turmeric powder stir for a minutes and add cabbage and salt.

  4. Toss lightly with spoon.

  5. Sprinkle garam masala and amchoor powder. Toss it again.

  6. Cook for 3-4 minutes stirring continuously till it is crisp.

  7. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve it hot.
